Le prince Félix Féliksovitch Yusupov, comte Soumarokov-Elston (1856−1928) était un militaire et homme d'État russe, chef en chef du district militaire de Moscou en 1915.
Valentin Serov, remarquable animalier, a utilisé la forme du portrait équestre. Prince Felix Yusupov, Count Sumarokov-Elston (1856−1928) was a Russian military and government official. In 1915, he served as the Commander-in-Chief of the Moscow Military District.
Serov, who was excellent at painting animals, used the form of an equestrian portrait. The Arabian horse and the rider firmly holding the reins are painted in a light, sketch-like style. The man’s pose, proud face, and his habit of looking down on others clearly show his authoritative character.
